The Obama family spend their Christmas in Hawaii every year. I guess it’s their family tradition. This time around they left on a Saturday for Hawaii minus the President. He was still busy tying up loose ends, but he arrived on Thursday. Looks like they are having fun already after arriving on Thursday.
The president is looking forward to 10 days filled mostly by relaxation with friends and relatives – although he will still receive a daily national security briefing, look at a staff review being prepared by interim White House chief of staff Pete Rouse, work on early versions of January’s State of the Union address and take care of other White House business.
First lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia left Washington for this picturesque island on Saturday, with White House dog Bo in tow.
The family is staying in a vacation rental home on the beach in Kailua on the island of Oahu.
