Tank hits Nashville

R&B Singer Tank aka “The General,” kicked off his Savage Tour, in Nashville on August 5th at the City Winery.   This tour is to promote his upcoming fall release of his eighth solo project. He brought Lil Sammie as his opening guest and even brought some Nashville flavor to the stage.

filled the sold out event. As I scanned the room, I could see Tank had a large fan base, and the ladies screamed all night long.

He took us on a journey covering some of his new Savage tracks like: F It Up, When We and mixing it up with some favorites such as: Slowly, Maybe I Deserve, You Don’t Know and F***in Wit Me.

He definitely commanded the stage with his Tank stage display that lighted up with special effects in the background, bright stage lights and of course the main course Tank himself was easy to our  eyes with his Savage jacket which he wore open showcasing his perfect six-pack, and then  his switcharoo  all white attire.  He definitely brought the SEXY wrapped up in a bow and gave his audience their money’s worth.

Fan Latoya Smith said, “The show was great and I loved every moment of it. His voice is beautiful.”

The highlight of the night would have to be when Tank did a special shout out where he song acapella about each member in the audience that was trying to get his attention.  He even took the time to joke about Tyrese, cover his group member Ginuwine popular Bachelor anthem, and advise they would be reunited soon for the fans.

Of course, the icing on the cake was during  intermission when Tank came out  dancing when the DJ had Cardi B.’s popular single, “Bodak Yellow” playing the crowd went crazy.

Overall, it was a great show and venue. The ambience was a grown and sexy mature crowd. After the show he even had a surprise for his fans that purchased merchandise and he held a meet and greet.  I highly recommend you check out this show in a city near you if you missed out!  Also, be sure to cope his new album Savage on September 29th!

Cavalia Odysseo hits Nashville

Yesterday, I was cordially invited to attend the opening night of Cavalia Odysseo. We were able to mix and mingle before the show started at the VIP Party which featured the international cast, Mayor Ba Megan Barry, local news reporters and the creator  Normand Latourelle.

If you have no idea what I’m speaking of  then  if you drive by Briley Pkwy towards Opry Mills mall or Opryland  then you can’t help but notice the big white tent as  you pass down the interstate..

Well that’s Cavalia! 🙂

Cavalia is known as  an entertainment company that specializes in the creation, production and touring of shows for audiences of all ages worldwide showcasing equestrian and acrobatic techniques.

This internationally acclaimed,  7 million dollar  live entertainment production tour has the largest tent in the world. Odysseo is a theatrical experience, an ode to horse and man, that marries equestrian arts, awe-insipring acorbatics and high tech theater effects.

As I watched the show, I felt like I was in a scene of a real life horse movie. The stage featureds  125 foot tall White Big Top that seats 2,000 people in the audience, 60 horses, a beautiful international cast ( African dancers were my favorite 🙂 , a real carousel and a magical 40,000-gallon lake in front of a stunning video backdrop the size of three large movie screens.

This two hour dream touches your heart and soul. It definitely a once in a lifetime experience well worth the price tag  that you will want to share with family, a perfect date night, or  night of the arts. You definitely will never forget this!

My favorite parts of the show would be seeing all the beautiful horses especially the Stallions,  the African dancers who mastered crowd participation with gymnastics and a special chant of O Walu Guere Moufan, which we learned means, “No More War!”  (Definitely fitting for the times we are living in.)

Of course the icing on my cake, was the water performance which I don’t want to giveaway so you have to go see it for yourself!

Personally, I made it a family night and we  ALL loved each and every moment from beginning to end!

A Question of Faith

Recently, I was invited to attend a private screening of the film, “A Question of Faith,” in Franklin at the AMC Thoroughbred theater. As I walked in the theater location it looked like a beautiful mall location.

They have made some MAJOR UPDATES! I mean they have a bar with high tables, recliner chairs, self-serve drink stations and the icing on the cake RECLINER SEATS in the movie theater with order button ( much like room service).

D3 Entertainment were very organized with their screening location and  a Q and A discussion with the director Kevan Otto.  There was even a Dove award winner in the house Nicole Mullen.

The cast was very talented with Kim Fields, TC Stallings and  Richard T. Jones and many newcomers.

The movie was POWERFUL from start to finish. The message will hit home with families, communities and churches. I highly recommend this film as a church group field trip or activity or family movie night.

I don’t want to give this movie away, however I must share it will open your eyes on so many different levels!

Be sure to support this movie when hits your local theater on September 29th!
