ACCORDING TO HUFFINGTON POST:
In the wake of historic flooding that’s devastated parts of Louisiana and killed at least 11 people, Taylor Swift has donated $1 million dollars to the state’s disaster relief fund.
On Tuesday, the singer released a statement to the Associated Press pledging her support to those impacted by the flooding, explaining how her Louisiana fans were the first to welcome her with open arms at the onset of her 1989 tour last year.
“We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home,” Swift said. “The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking.”
The floods, which started on Friday after a heavy rainfall, have displaced upwards of 30,000 residents and damaged at least 40,000 homes in the days since.
“I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time,” the “Bad Blood” singer said.
On Sunday, President Barack Obama issued a disaster declaration which will provide federal aid for some of the parishes most affected by the flooding.
Things have been crazy since Kim K dropped a bomb via her reality show and Snapchat in regards to Kanye West’s song “Famous.”
Taylor still hasn’t decided if she’ll actually go through with filing a police report. The pop singer still feels Ye committed a felony. Sources tell TMZ Taylor didn’t know she was on speakerphone and although she could hear other voices in the background, she didn’t know they could hear her.She feels Kanye should have asked permission to record her. Since he didn’t, she feels he violated the law.
Not only that, it’s being reported Taylor wants the full hour conversation to be released to prove she never gave permission for Ye to call her a “b*tch” in the song. It’s said the “Famous” rapper was supposed to send her an advanced copy of the lyrics from the song, which she never received.
